Jurple ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

By using the Jurple application or website, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

3. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account and subscription.
To provide and improve the features of the Service.
To process payments via Stripe.
To send transactional emails (account confirmation, subscription receipts).

To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Sharing Your Information

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

Stripe — to process subscription payments. Stripe's privacy policy applies to data they handle: stripe.com/au/privacy.
Supabase — our backend infrastructure provider for database, authentication, and file storage. Data is stored in their cloud infrastructure.
Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or government authority.
Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred. We will notify you before this occurs.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure cloud servers. We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit (TLS), hashed passwords, and role-based access controls.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

      Receipt photos and file uploads are stored in Supabase Storage. Access is controlled by your account credentials.
    

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymise your data within 90 days, unless we are required to retain it by law.

7. Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate or out-of-date information.
Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal obligations).
Opt out of direct marketing communications.
Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

8. Cookies & Tracking

Our website uses minimal cookies necessary for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

Jurple is not intended for use by persons under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. The updated policy will be effective from the date shown at the top of this page.
